Cliff prepaid his own fine because his shopping center project was in the Courier this week. Mike Feldhaus was fined because of a 5/16 rerun of the Farm Bureau show!
Lyndy Alexander was fined due to a Girl Scout article (way, way back!).

- Our club will be doing a mini-fundraiser on Saturday, June 9th to benefit the Rotary Foundation. Dave Willey’s neighborhood is having a yard sale in Norbourne Estates that day from 8:00a.m. to 12:00. Please look for quality items to donate, which we will need to have at Dave’s house about two days before the sale. Judy Mayfield is coordinating workers; signups on the table at Rotary or call Judy to sign up. Folding tables are also needed. Buyers will be able to make their checks payable to the Rotary Foundation for tax purposes
- Cheryl Rago is putting together the next fellowship event and it will be one of the four Saturdays in July for "Picnic with the Pops" at the Louisville Zoo. Here is the schedule of events and we will decide at Wednesday's meeting which one we will attend: July 7th - Patriotic Salute; July 14th - Big Bad Voodoo Daddy; July 21st - Crystal Gayle; and July 28th - Herman's Hermits.
Presentation
Allan Crumes introduced our speaker, Dan Blanchard, a motivational speaker and small business coach. Dan has been coaching small businesses since 1980 and gave his presentation on the “Power of Winnable Games”. Dan’s theory was that people get motivated by games and competition, but don’t treat accomplishing tasks towards a goal with the same enthusiasm. Any endeavor in life can be organized as a game. You need to : 1. Have a big idea; 2. Develop a method to accomplish what you set out to do; and 3. Keep score every day.
King of Clubs
Marty Koetters won $6.00 – no King of Clubs was drawn.
Did You Know? Ye Olde Oil was first published in 1945 as a weekly club newsletter. Can you believe this publication is 60+ years old!!!
The history reports that "Ye Olde Oil was a source of strength in communication". The name was selected for "oil, a lubricant that gets rid of squeaks and groans".
